Philly & NYC

it is after midnight and i am still totally wired! i am not sure if it's the energy of NY or the AMAZING cherry cheesecake we had after we saw PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!!!!! C was rendered speechless... it was an amazing production. aunt net said that this phantom was the closest to michael crawford that she had seen (since michael crawford) (she's seen it NINE TIMES!!!)

well, i feel that i will not do our trip justice by giving you a rundown of our activities. i am typing this from a hostel in the upper west side and can't get the camera to connect to add pictures. so sad. anyway... we met aunt net in philly (she lives there for now) she treated us soooooooooo good! she's got a great apartment right downtown. after a red eye flight, we needed to catch some zzzzzz. so we slept until aunt net came home and took us to eat lunch at a mexican place across the street. yuuuuummmmm. the afternoon brought us up close and personal with the naked mole rats and leopards at the very first zoo in the united states. oh, i only have 3 minutes and no $1's left...

i will post more later. perhaps in the morning. we are having THE BEST time so far. we are already tired and can't wait for the first day that we feel we will be able to sleep in. we just don't want to miss anything... know what i mean?

So we are finally leaving tomorrow. My "To Do" list today was about as long as my arm. And that was just what I could think of. I am moved out of my apartment, and camp is over, so I can finally focus on EUROPE! I can allow myself to get excited, whereas before I could only think of how much I had left to do before we left. The big stuff is pretty much done, whatever is left I can deal with. It's time to get on the road. We head out of PDX at 10pm tomorrow. The time will pass so slowly! I am just so stoked! More later from another part of the world.

So I guess it's my turn. Yes, I am SO excited to get going to Europe. It's odd, though, that I keep expecting something to come up and ruin everything. I feel like I am doing too much at once, and I am so used to doing nothing. Just work and watch TV, read books, work some more. Nothing interesting. Now I am moving out of my apartment, consolidation everything I own, and moving to my mother's couch. I am going to supervise at girls camp for a week and then, finally, going on vacation!!! Something that I just dont do. ever. I've bitten it all off and here I am... chewing frantically. I cannot wait, though, to get to Ireland. This is a lifelong dream of mine. I can't remember a time that I haven't wanted to go to Ireland. Once I do, I can die happy. I hope that the anticipation doesn't ruin the effect. All right, so I am a pessimist. Couldn't tell, huh? But seriously, I have recieved so much assistance from God I know He wants me to do this, so there is no doubt in my mind He will keep watching out for us. This is going to be so amazing!
